J7W1 Shinden - Zoukei Mura 1:32

Hello friends!

This is my new build, Zukei Mura's 1:32nd scale J7W1 Shinden.

Construction was relatively straightforward, some fit issues were easily fixed with sanding and many dry-fits while in some cases there was not possible to fix them, e.g. for the gun covers, so either you have to glue them on and then work with epoxy putty, or leave them aside and present the gun bay completely open. In my case, I decided to glue the right panel of the gun bay and as you can see, the fit is relatively poor. These fit issues concern all pieces that represent panels for which you have the option to leave open, so it is a drawback in the kit's design I think.

Apart from the above mentioned problems, the kit goes together nicely, some details were added from scratch, e.g. wires in the engine, or structural pieces from plastic strips.
I used upgrade set for the cockpit, metal undecarriage and resin weighted wheels.
The kit was painted using Gunze paints.
The hinomarus were masked and painted. The few decals that were used, were well printed but on the thick side, which is obvious in some photos, although I airbrushed heavy layer of gloss varnish in order to avoid the step from the decals, it is still present.

Enjoy the photos!
